Air Arabia, the Middle East and North Africa’s leading low-cost carrier, has announced the launch of a new direct flight route connecting Sharjah International Airport to Addis Ababa Bole International Airport. This service will commence on January 30, 2025, with flights scheduled three times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.
The flight schedule is as follows (local times):
- Flight G9 738 departs Sharjah at 21:25 and arrives in Addis Ababa at 00:40.
- Flight G9 739 departs Addis Ababa at 01:30 and lands in Sharjah at 06:40.
Both flights will be operated using Airbus A320 aircraft.

The introduction of the Sharjah-Addis Ababa route highlights Air Arabia’s focus on strengthening UAE-Africa connectivity, enabling increased opportunities for tourism, trade, and investment.
Air Arabia operates a modern fleet of 81 Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft, renowned for their efficiency and passenger comfort. The airline offers a range of value-added services, including free in-flight streaming through ‘SkyTime,’ affordable onboard dining via ‘SkyCafe,’ and the ‘Air Rewards’ loyalty program, allowing passengers to earn and redeem points for future travel.
Travelers can now book flights to Addis Ababa through Air Arabia’s official website, call center, or travel agencies. This new route is expected to enhance accessibility and affordability for passengers traveling between the UAE and Ethiopia.
